A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ATTITUDE OF MALE AND FEMALE ATHLETES OF INDIVIDUAL SPORTS TOWARDS COACHING

Abstract :
                              The purpose of the study was to assess the attitude of male and female sports-persons of individual sports towards coaching. Thirty two (Males=16, Females= 16)) athletes of individual sports of different games and sports were selected to serve as subjects for this study. The subjects were in age group of 18 to 23 years. The subjects were selected from amongst the male and female athletes Chhattisgarh during the 2014-2015 session. The questionnaire used in this study was developed and standardized by Dr. J.P. Verma (1995) Questionnaire consists of 58 questions in seven dimensions. A questionnaire was administered individually by the researcher to all the subjects. To assess the attitude towards coaching on seven dimensions of male and female athletes of individual sports, mean and standard deviation were computed.
